You have picked up a sure nuff old thread here. Not sure what the difference is in an rsb1300 and a rs1300. Mined is an rs1300 which is a gear drive. I use it on a ym2002d. I don't have the special top link adapter. I just made a short top link which works fine. I also had to shorten the drive shaft, however, someone had lengthened it to fit on an Allis Chalmers.
Help!! YM 2000 and RSB1300 tiller hookup?

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I found this thread, and it had the best pictures.
I wont know exactly what the guy has, until I get there. I am most concerned about the top tiller link. That would be ideal if he had had. he is asking 350.00 for the setup. He doesnt seem to want to budge from this price.
Does the light green paint make it an earlier model than the grey?

Light green paint means up to about 1980 so it might be newer than your tractor. Quality of those is at least as good as the red ones. The gear case is likely cast iron, instead of aluminum with a sheet-metal shield at the bottom, for example. It may include wheels which were discontinued later. Tillers are simple, there's no technological advance as they moved to the next generation. Worn or broken tines are what you should examine.
The tractor half of the top link is what keeps the tiller from running into your tires when you lift it. You might need to find one. Or if the seller used it without problems then he may have lengthened its driveshaft and moved its lower mounts forward to solve this. (A slip clutch added in your driveline will lengthen it too).

Well that is good news that is a good model year. Where can I find a Top Tiller Link? Is there a substitute? I guess I also need to look into getting the Live PTO Slip.

Got my tiller today, I have it over my friends right now. Not in to bad cosmetic shape. I am probably going to extend the lift are pins out on a piece of flatbat connected to the tiller. I have seen where others have done the same, so the tillers doesnt hit the tractor rear tires.
