Tractor
Lastec 3372/B1700/B2150
Just ran over a rope with my B2150 mid mount mower. Mower and tractor stopped immediately. I finally was able to untangle rope which had wound around all three blade spindles, but the dash lights will not light and the starter will not even attempt to turn the engine over. It's completely dead. Checked my two 15 amp fuses and they seem to be ok and the 200 amp fuseable link. Anyone have any ideas. I'm mechanically challenged, so I know nothing about this sort of thing. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you somehow disconnect the battery in the process? It sounds like you have a broken electrical connection somewhere.

Can you get any electrical thing to work. Anything? the fuel pump, the glow plugs, the lights, whatever?

Note to self: Stay the heck away from ropes whilst mowing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I assume the PTO is disengaged..? Not sure about the 2150. My L3010 just won't start when the PTO is engaged, but I saw a tractor once that showed no signs of life whatsoever if you tried to start it that way. Can't even remember the brand. Can't remember much these days! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I hope one of the Kubota guys can help you with more explicit directions, but...

Just for giggles, disconnect your battery completely and reconnect. Might have shifted enough to hit some corrosion.

If your fuses and fusible link are OK (but I'll wager you missed an inline fuse somewhere), you may have to find and check your safety switches (hope you got the manual), although I can't really believe stalling your tractor would actuate a safety switch.

I agree, but I checked the fuses and there's no break in the circuit that I can determine. The fuseable link looks to be ok, but I'm not even sure what to look for. The loop itself is unbroken.

Has the grounding link from the battery to tractor frame become disconnected?

Does the battery show about 12 to 13 volts when a meter is put on it?
