Can anyone send me a photo of how the rubber protection lip mounts to the 60" blade? I finally ordered it but of course it comes with no diagram or instructions. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks.

Can't help with the 60 inch but maybe this picture of my 72 inch will help. The steel strip mounts even with the bottom of the blade with the rubber sandwiched between and centered so you can reverse it wnen worn out. I clamped the steel and rubber in place then drilled through the sandwich for the mounting bolts.

Here's a picture of my newly modified blade. Last winter, my first with the blade, I managed to bend the ends a bit on ice chunks frozen to the ground. I also found that regulating the height of the blade using the caster wheels was not really effective. The casters are mounted too far back and are too spongy to maintain a level.

I bought a pair of replacement shoes for a Fisher snow plow from NorthernTool.com and a pair of 1 inch forged steel socket weld tees from MSC. I bored the tees to slip fit the spindle of the shoes, then shortened them a bit to give me more adjustment range. And put in some grease fittings. Then I went off to a welding shop and had the blade straightened and a piece of 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 angle welded full length to reinforce it and the tees welded to that.

Sorry about the mud in the pictures, it's all I had for a test,

Nice job Sagewood. Let us know how it works in the snow. How's it work with plowing mud?

I don't think the PT guys get to test it much in the snow. You think they would have borrowed more ideas from proven snow plows when they created a snow plow.
