Need help finding # 16 and attachment rod
Can anyone tell me where to find this Part ?
The Tarter Tiller Company Dosent make this model anymore and the new model dosent match the old model
as far as the rear plate

Hey DDowney, I'm up here in Shingletown. Do you have the remains of the old part? On tillers I've owned that is simple sheet metal just bent to stiffen it. If so, any sheet metal shop can fab you up a part in no time with their breaks.

The rod should be easy enough to figure out as well.

The rod should be easy enough to figure out as well. Do you know if Tarter made tillers for any of the big brands Green our Yellow or??? If so, you might be able to get a match there as well. You can probably pick up some metal at Short Bros. to fab up a new part, if it's more substantial than the stuff a sheet metal shop carries.

I called beeler (Miller Equip) they said there was a blacksmith shop across the street that would repair it for 350.00

Sounds a bit steep to me, but then I haven't seen the damage and I tend to fix my own stuff. Can't imagine that repairing that gate would be a big project though. Good luck to you neighbor.
