After every time I do a favor for my neighbors they show up on my doorstep with a 64 oz growler of my favorite beer. :drink:

Two things have become obvious to me in the last couple of days:

a) I don't have the worst neighbors; goeduck has it far worse than me.

b) First thing tomorrow: I'm gonna tell my neighbors they need to up their game. Or Else!!!

Lately this thread demonstrates that, the vast majority of us, have neighbors that run from neutral to great. Sorry to hear about the few that have difficult relationships with their neighbors.

The key to success, IMHO, is don’t act like them. Retribution rarely pays off.

And my neighbors are so bad that they take the time to go to the local microbrewery and get that 64 oz growler fresh brewed. My mouth is watering as I type. I have such horrible neighbors. :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

My condolences. Sorry you have to live like that.

I've only lived on two properties in the last 30+ years so my sampling is not large. But... I have had only one neighbor that moved in next to my previous residence that was a royal pain in the ***. And that wasn't fun. I had been there long before with a friendly neighbor next door. I built a fence long ago (to keep a dog in) along our shared line. When this guy moved in, he had the property surveyed and found that in one stretch 'our' 6ft beautiful solid cedar fence was almost 6in on his side! He wanted me to move it! I laughed.

He proceded to tear it down and put in a 200ft of new fence (the old one was in good shape) and without care... cut the roots of my peach tree and a few other plants in the process. The peach tree died. I used to share the peaches with the previous neighbor. The new guy... a real dick.

I'm blessed now with elder neighbors at our present place and we work together to make our surroundings a very pleasant place... looking out for each other and our respective livelihoods. Funny how some just don't get it.

House next door is a rental. Owner is pretty reasonable, but a few years back he got a couple that were pretty bad. Couple couldn't mind there won business and called the law on my dogs a couple times.

Both dogs were contained in the back yard, and only outside when we were gone. Inside when we were home, or during heat waves when it was too hot outside.

They called the cops once and said it was too cold for my dogs to be outside. Cop showed up, and explained while he was there. I walked him out back and showed him our sunroom which has a doggy door and is heated to 60 for our tropical plants.

Second time the cop showed up it was in the low 90's. Complaint this time was the dogs didn't have enough water. When the officer showed up, I was in the process of cleaning and changing the water in the kiddie pool. At this point I was annoyed about the complaints. So I showed the officer the wackos horse. It was pretty obvious that the horse was neglected. We just walked over to the fence bordering the two properties and I called the horse over with some carrots.

Wackos learned a valuable lesson that day. Cop charged them with neglect of the horse. Wackos had to have a vet come out and check the horse head to toe. They had to treat the horse for hoof rot, float it's teeth, treat it for worms, and a farrier had to trim it's hooves. Cost them a couple grand before it was all over.

Nice thing was, they wouldn't even look at me or my wife after that :cool2:

But the horse thanked you profusely.

Back in court this morning. The judge informed the neighbor lady she hasn't made a payment since 6/20/2017. That was about it:confused:, new court date July 17.
