Very well stated.
I believe there are more of us doing good than there are those that aren't. They simply make more noise, led by a biased media. Whereas those doing good tend to be meek. God Bless the good.![]()
Thanks RSKY, we'll never hear the "good" stories on the news, just the gloom.

Yep. If it bleeds it leads. The bubble headed bleach blonde who comes on at five....
I have helped out after tornadoes and hurricanes have devastated communities, families, and taken lives. What was an eye opener was the hundreds of people who came out to help. Help cleaning up doing very dirty, nasty, dangerous, health threatening work. Yet, not one story on the news. Not a mentioned. Nothing. Crickets.
I will forever wonder where the heck the Mennonites came from to help out in a small town, nobody has heard of, to help out after being flooded out from a hurricane. The Mennonites showed up before the water started to go down. Why that town? Where did they come from? :confused3: I don't know but I sure was glad to see them helping those families. Later, the Baptists showed up with a heck of a nice setup to feed and clean people. Hundreds of people came into this little town from who knows where to help. They got it done and then went home.
Years, later we had some bad storms move through and dropped tornadoes here and there. A coworkers family member was killed along with a neighbor so we went down to help clean up what looked like a bombed out home as best we could. If the tornado had been a 100 yards east or west, nobody would have been killed. Dozens of people were out cleaning up. Mostly local people including members of a local church. There were four homes destroyed and we were working on one of them. Not much was happening at the other three homes but the local church was finding places to house a bus load of people driving down from VA to help out. The next day there were around 50 people out there helping clean up.
Now, the people helping out did not want or need media attention, they were there to do what needed to be done. But it would be nice to have positive news, information about people doing things to bring people together, instead of the usual negative news designed to push us apart.
Later,
Dan
