Garry, caravans can be a lot of fun and there are quite a number of them that make that trip. On our first trip in '72, there were 3 of us together, but we got to see the Wally Byam caravan; over 100 Airstreams traveling together. On another trip with 3 rigs, the Travco club had a big caravan of their motorhomes. And of course, when you see those big caravans, you can have a real problem getting past them if they're traveling slow. And our last trip was just by ourselves. A CB radio is sure nice to have driving up that way. When I was going slow enough to have a truck overtake me, I always called the trucker on the CB, told him/her that I'd let him know when it was safe to come around, and that I'd back off as soon as he started. I never had one fail to promptly respond on the radio and thank me.
