This is the pin on version of my thumb, I made it with the help of the ideas found here! It has served well! I have moved rocks that are HUGE! I did hard face the hooks a few times.

That sure looks handy. I've been thinking about putting one on my backhoe too. It would sure be nice to be able to pick up and move stuff instead of draging and pushing it.

Nice job on it! I see your finding it very handy cutting firewood.My little KUBOTA will idle all day on a gallon of fuel-alot cheaper then buying chainsaw chains because i cant keep it out of the ground.It is suprising how big a tree mine will lift,now im even more impressed watching you.Thumbs ought to be standard equipment on every hoe!!!
