That was enough to confuse me. I don't see anything that looks like a spin off fuel filter in your pictures. Nor did I know fuel filters have wires.

I hope you find help.

Fuel filters, especially the cartridge water separators have wires these days for a water sensor. My tractor has a spin on with no sensor and a cartridge type that does.
