Can someone identify this thing, other than a very mad bunch of bees. Never seen bees like this before.

Another shot of the hive........I got about 10 stings before me and the bota were OUT OF THERE!

I thought those were hornets instead of bees, but of course, I don't know because we've never had any nests of that type in my area, to the best of my knowledge.

Best I can tell they are called Baldface hornets.........I know when you disturb them they get real upset.

There musta been a few ouches and other language. Hope the stings wern't too bad.

I ran into a wasp nest last summer as some weeds were being scythed. Think I only got about three or four hits before I was gone.

they got me in my lip, and face, and of course the old chrome dome.......sad part is that sitting on the bota, I am head level with it. I thought at first one of the pine needles got me.

I think I will survive, but the hive will not.

They are talking about getting someone that is not pro to remove it, I have told them that is not a good idea.

We call them paper wasps in this area, named after the paper thin hives. I can't tell you the "real" name.

and the neighbors behind the place also. Afraid shooting them is not an option in my town. Wish it was though.

I call them white-faced [censored]. They are mean and nasty around here.
