Every time the prices go up the government comes in and wants to know about it (a good thing)..but why does it matter since these topics/issues always have no outcome or corrective action......

But anyways......the link to report gouging or "flat-out taking people for a ride".

That should be a pretty busy website today with all the instant markups we are hearing about at the pumps. Maybe a few ------ gas stations would send the right message to the oil industry.

It is nuts. So far all ours went up over $0.30 in less the 12 hours. Just driving the "scooter" to work more....

( Do you think the stations paid .3o cents more a gallon today, Not? )I think the .30 increase per gallon today should be confiscated & sent directly to New Orleans & gulf coast relief efforts. .30/gallon x Daily US consumption = a good start on the clean-up & rebuilding efforts..........& big oil won't miss it !! (what ever happened to our anti-trust & monopoly laws enacted to protect us from this happening ?)

I watched the station across from my job this evening jump from $2.88 to $3.09 inside of 3 hrs. I work at an auto parts store.

There isn't another locking gas cap in my town. Some applications have 400-500 caps on backorder at the warehouses.

After work, I drove across town to "my station" that carries diesel. They were still at $2.79 for regular and diesel was $2.83. They were out of gas and only had diesel. Being I drive a powerstroke, that was fine with me. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm good for about 2 weeks. Let's hope it's not much higher then.

Regular unleaded here took a $0.61 a gallon bringing it to $3.089 while Diesel is $2.709.

Ky law increases taxes as the prices of fuel escalate.
We have a Governor who claims that his administration has accumulated a 214 million dollar surplus by good management, Talk about a "spin" on things!

It would be interesting to know just how much of the 214 million was attributed to higher taxes on fuel. The thing that surprises me is that it seems very few are changing their usage styles.

Most seem to be addicted to motoring around no matter what the cost of fuel . Is it just me or do others observe the same thing? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You can view the gas station prices in your area at Gas Buddy. The site has been very popular the past couple days -- so the server may be busy at times.

I have been using another one pretty good (xxxgasprices.com). XX is city name; but the distance to get it [cheaper fuel) makes the fuel a (-) in benefit.

So far, it is not bothering me too much since I do not drive like a used too (hate driving a car).

Now everyone is saying LNG is going up...Gee, someone farts and prices go up! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tom, I saw T. Boone Pickens on Fox News yesterday and he said BP had just donated $5 million to the relief effort. Maybe we know where they got it? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
