Hey Gary, if those are Thermatru doors, don't let your contractor talk you into using just any stain on them. Thermatru has a fiberglass stain package for about $35 per door that is guaranteed for 5 years.

I'm talking from experience here. My fiberglass Thermatru doors are shedding their stain so fast they may not look stained at all in another couple of months. Thats only 1-1/2 years in the sun. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I'm going to strip and restain them because I don't want to bother with the guy who did it the first time. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

good morning,
the doors are going to be painted (forest green to match the carpet) not stained, only the wood work (natural oak) the brand name is sekins stains and sealers, i've seen their ads in log home living, the builder says it should last more than 2-3 yrs with the porches i added, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif logs require a bit more maintainence, maybe every 5-6 years........thanks for the heads up, that what friends are for /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
