Hey all,
I just wanted to thank you all for all of the help and great info that I've learned from you on this site. Now I figured it's time for me to contribute as well.
About me:
I work for a large municipal parks department in the pacific northwest region. The system has many parks, trails, and open spaces that need to be maintained in many ways. This is what my colleagues and I do, and where I get access to all of my equipment. Don't hate me because I get to use cool stuff but didn't have to buy it. Along with work done on the tractor, I could be installing chain link fencing one day, doing metal fabrication the next, and trimming trees on the third.
As for that tractor work, I'd break it down to 60% mowing, 20% moving or loading brush and debris, 15% loader work, and 5% moving material with pallet forks.
My current set up is a cabbed New Holland 545D, 66hp, R4 tires, with a Gannon 4-in-1. The mower is a Alamo Grass King, 72" slope mowing flail. The New Holland is about to be replaced with a JD 5075M, so look for that.
Thanks again, and I look forward to getting to know you guys.
