Quick Hitches HF quick hitch question

Considering Harbor Freight Quick Hitch. With the 25% off coupon I can afford the cost. I have a 2012 Kubota BX1860, but I think all BX models have the same size 3ph - right?? So far I only have one 3ph attachment - KK 4' box blade and it's a wrestling match getting it on and off the 3ph. If anyone else has this hitch for their BX does the QH fit right out the box or will it need modifying? Will the BX's lower lift arms and stabilizers fit or will it need different stabilizers? Will I need the top link adapter plate?
All HF-QH and fitment info as well as pics will be much appreciated. :thumbsup:

It fit my BX2360 with no changes. Top adapter depends on the implement, not the tractor.

Some implement top link pins are too high, too low, or too far back in the frame. Some have access blocked under the pin. These implements need to be modified or you need a top link adapter.

You can make one easily if you think "outside the frame."

Thanks Bruce! Another question... I just measured my box blade bottom pin to pin and it's between 20&7/8" -- 24&5/8". Will it fit in the hitch or is the hitch arms spread to wide for me? Thanks to anyone who can measure it for me.... KW

Those numbers sound like you have a Cat 0 box blade attachment. I have the HF quick hitch and it measures 27 1/2" wide between the lower arms.

Thanks George! Well I reckon no HFQH for me, unless I can find a cheap Cat 0 one somewhere or make one. Looks like wrestling is in my future!
Could I use super long lift pins? Do they make 7"-8" long bottom hitch pins?

There are other alternatives.

Put caster wheels on that pallet. If you don't have a hard surface, use 4 stepping stones placed so the wheel is in the center of each one. Then you can more easily move the blade several inches each direction. Or pour a small concrete pad.

Build an A-frame, kind of like a child's swing set. Hang the box blade from it so it can swing to meet the hitch. This is sometimes done with post hole diggers, which are notoriously hard to hook up if sitting on the ground.

They do make long pins but that would be a lot of stress on them.

You could still use something like Pats easy change system. Check it out in the TBN store.

Thanks again George! Pat's easy change is surely an option :drool:- though I'd have to save up for it(and probably need to get an extra long top link too to be able to adjust my bb's bite.) Low cost is my most important factor :frown: - I've been retired(ie; broke) for the last few years and wifey is retiring the end of this May so finances are even leaner. I'll probably try Bruce's suggestion of the casters, hopefully it'll save my back and reoccuring never scheduled sciatica some. Any other suggestions/alternatives are still appreciated. KW :2cents:???
