Tires hhheeelllppp tire came off wheel!

It happens. I had a front tire do the same thing this past winter. Just didn't have enough air pressure in it. Most likely you'll need to have a tire dealer pump it back up. If you're in a real hurry some tire dealers have trucks and will come out to you but it'll cost.

Yeah, you don't even have to jack it up again to pull the wheel off to get it repaired. When it's fixed, just drive that wheel up on a curb and pull the wedge out.

There are some things that look so daunting. This was one of them. Fortunately I had my grapple on and how fabulous to have that simple and easy solution - would never have thought of it.

There are also some days that I just want to be a woman and WATCH someone take care of it instead of jumping in and tackling it. This was after I spent way too long to attempt to hook up my (new to me) brush hog to the PTO without success. It has an annoying collar that makes it tough to pull back the ring release and to push at the same time.

I told my carpenter who helped me build my tree house about my day as a pink woman and he said...."Do you want me to go over and take care of that for you?" Ah the joys of male energy, you guys are amazing.

So my trauma and drama have subsided and the scary looking mess is at a local tractor dealer for repair. Hopefully ready today!

Super ideas about the goop inside the tires, making sure to be careful of sharp objects and remembering that this will happen again. This forum is like having 15,000 big brothers. I love my tractor and my goal is to learn as much as possible without too many tears along the way.

My other question is about the fluid in the rear tires - if I get a flat and notice it (unlike this one before the tire about came off the rim) can I use those quick fix kits or does the fluid keep me from running that spike into the tire to plug it?

Thanks a ton,
Nature Girl

I got to fix this issue in the field last year myself when I believe I was under inflated and hauling a decent sized log on the forks. And it was my second time out with it. Wrap a ratchet strap around the tire and tighten it to set the tire in the bead, then air it up and release the strap. The loader will lift your front end for you, and I THINK the 3pt CAN lift the rear end if you put a log or something under it, though maybe not with filled tires.

After the initial panic subsides (I was quite new at this) you just deal with it and move on. I was able to get it good enough to get out, but there was crap in the bead that wouldn't let it fully seal so I was leaking as I was driving out... Then took it to a tire store and had tubes put in the front tires. No problems since...

I had a similar problem mowing high brush with lots of 2'' thorns all four were flat in the morning on my new L3400 I got a price for field service and found for the cost of two field calls I could have the tires foam filled and not have to worry about them again. Also stffens them up for loader work but a ruff ride on the road.
