Hello Everybody,

I am Rev. Dr. Rick Waite, a country preacher in upstate New York. I am the very proud owner of a 1951 Farmall H.

We have been fighting with eachother for about 10 years. I win a few and lose a few more.

This Summer, I rebuilt the carberator. It took 3 hours to clean and 20 minutes to rebuild. I used the factory kit and everything fit like a glove.

She still fought to fire up, but when she did, all of heck broke loose. I hadn't fully adjusted the needle valves, but I was running at about 6000 rpm with the only control being the choke and that didn't do everything.

It's like I am getting a constant gush of fuel causing me to run flat out. Great for a tractor pull, but for little else.

I have been rebuilding carberators for 40 years and this is the worst. We're talking snowblower/lawnmower class only a bit bigger.

This really bothers me, so please help.

Thanks and God bless,

Rick

I have two screws in the 8n carb I have rebuilt it and mixed up the fuel and air adjustment and got the same problem. It was an aftermarket carb so don't know if that is helpful or not
