Welcome from someone a little further East of you (near Alexandria). Mog's rock and was always something I wanted to pickup for work on the property and for hauling stuff. Yours looks in nice shape!

Hi Kyle241
Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I'm "just up the road" from you.
Soundguy, I took a couple of pics of the old 961. I'll attach them.
As I said; it's not too pretty!

Hey it works! Welcome! Thanks for the pictures.

DO NOT USE THE LOADER untill you get ALL 3 BRACKETS in place!!!!!!

the front hanger bracket, the trans hip bracket, and the lower strap bracket with attaches the bas of the laoder tot he onttom of the trans!!!!!

I typically don't have a problem using a selectrol valve for my 951.. but then my hyds touch control and cam pin are service and in good working ourer. if your linkage is sloppy under the cover and cam pin wore out.. yeah.. it may be touchy.

your options are to get that 100$ power beyond plate and about a 150$ open center single acting valve, and plumb that in.. OR pick up a used remote for the top cover.. they typically go for 150-200$.. i've bought many at that price.

Hi Soundguy;

Thanks. I figured it out last night. It's amazing what you can accomplish while you're lying awake in bed.

I wasn't doing it correctly; I was trying to control the loader with the Selectrol Valve!

I got up this morning, and pulled the Selectrol Valve all the way out, and controlled the loader with the quandrant control. Works great! Duh!

I also fabbed up a piece of plywood in the shape of what I think the bottom brace should look like. I made it 4 inches wide and drilled 3 holes...lines up good. I'll dig around my scrap pile and see if I can find some plate. Do you think 5/8 inch thick (4 inches wide) will do it?

Thanks

Hi Soundguy;

I see your other post, answering my One Arm Loader on a 961 thread.
Thanks.

3/8 plate and 1/4 plate..

yikes.. using the diverter valve to control the loader would be a nighmare! :)

Worse than a nightmare!!
Anyway, works ok now.

Thanks for the plate info; all made up and installed now. I'm tempted to make a "one piece" bottom bracket.

Loader seems quite strong; but looks a little delicate; like I should try to be gentle with it.

I'll try to get my old tractomotive working to take care of the heavy stuff. (I didn't put a can over the exhaust last fall!!!)

How strong is the one-arm? How much can it lift? Break out?

How much is it rated for with the crane (instead of the bucket) installed?

Thanks.

2500# breakout rated, and 1000# lift to full height for that model.

the full hyd later model is ratd a tad higher at 3000/1200# respectively.

farther you move away from the bucket pins the more the weight capacity decreases, same as in a 3pt.

I move round hay bales on my 1-arm loaders.

here's my 660 with 1-arm laoder and a very large tifton bale that rolled off the wagon and half way split open.

i estimate it to be near 1000#
