Tractor
Case DX40
I have an early DX40, which is about the same as a TC40DA. The tractor starts with the Hi/Lo speed switch (turtle/rabbit) in the low speed mode. The switch works and shifts back and forth between high and low speeds easily.

As I recall, however, it used to start in the high speed mode. Am I just imagining things? What is the normal starting mode? Can the starting mode be set?

Thanks,

John

Yep, John, you are imagining things. When the tractor is shut off, the unpowered circuit reverts to low-speed turtle mode. When restarted, you have to reset rabbit mode.

Thanks. I just hadn't paid any attention to it until the other day. I love the tractor and have had it for just a little over 2 years.
