The DK series HST uses the tractor hydraulic pump for the charge pressure. The CK20 HST has a charge pump in at the front of the HST. The 2 are different.
The CK20 TEST PORTS are on the top of the HST case. The TEST PORTS are readily accessible on the top of the case. The valves are located on the side of the HST. These are not as easy to access as the test ports, but can be done without completely splitting the tractor. The center port is the charge pump test port (77-99psi). The 2 on either side is the forward and reverse test ports. The HST should run at about 3980psi.
The HST is a closed loop hydraulic drive with a variable displacement pump running a fixed displacement hydraulic motor. Since it is a closed loop system, their are losses in the system, for example heat. The purpose of the charge pump is to continuously provide a low pressure source of fluid to the system to compensate for the losses.
Hope this helps.
