- grillo 85D w/tiller and zanon mower deck. Gravely Professional 12
I have been lurking for a while . I have had bradleys and bolens 2 wheelers and several others . My main machine over the last 15-20 years was a 1962 gravely Li had a finsh mower, brush mower, rotary plow and a tiller/cultivator . In 2008 the factory ( auto industry) I worked in closed . About the same time the gravely died . With the job prospect bleak , I sold it off . I pick up a mtd reartine tiller for the garden
Never was real impressed with it . Well last year the shifting fork bent alot of work to replace it and it didn't last thruogh this years garden before it bent another
I was luckier than most and was only out of work 5 months found another job but had to move . After a couple of years we were able to buy another house and are now on a 1/2 acre nice house. I have apple trees, pear tree peach and berry vine several grape vine and planning for a 1800 sq ft garden . My tools are the broken tiller a craftsman Gt6000 and a push mower. After a lot of research , part of the reason I was lurking. I made a trip to earth tools a couple weeks ago
I returned with a Grillo 85D 22' tiller , hiller . The 28 " mower decks are on back order . and a hitch to make my cart work behind the grillo . My 85D is powered by the 10 h.p. kohler and has the bigger wheels I have run many tillers this thing is head and shoulders over the troy biult horse or honda reartine tiller, and as much as I hate to admit it a better machine than my gravely
I am selling the craftsman rider because it is to much for this yard . and will start saving fo a chipper/shreader to fit the grillo.
Here is what I was really impressed with. After my grillo was assembled, Joel the owner came out went over the unit personly made a few adjustments made sure I knew how it worked and put it on the truck himself . the owner of the company made sure it was right before it let his place
