1989 Ford 4610 Diesel
I have been reading the forums and finding some good info as I try to maintain and repair my 1989 Ford 4610 diesel tractor. My dad used to help me keep it going. He taught me a lot of what he knew but he has passed on and now I'm pretty much on my own trying to figure things out. I'm in the process of putting a new starter on it and doing some maintenance work as well. I know I will have a lot of questions and I'm hoping I can find some help here.

Welcome and Lots of helpful folks here , I try and teach my daughter as much as I can. and Just yesterday they turned their back and I had my grand daughter 15mo out with me , needless to say I got in trouble for letting her get greasy .

Welcome to TBN Cathy...enjoy.

Welcome to TBN and the forum, Cathy.

To the TBN forum Cathy. Glad that you joined and yes a lot of great people here ready to help.

My wife was taught how to fix cars by her dad which really came in handy when we were first married. She knew what I wanted when I asked for a certain wrench or item and could put most boys to shame when it came to fixing vehicles.

I taught my kids IT as that was what I did while they were growing up and now my son works in IT and my oldest daughter in the IT side of nursing.

Thank you for the welcome. It takes patience to teach things to our kids but pays huge dividends in the long run. you and your wife's dad have done well.

So how is the starter coming along? Get it replaced yet? Got to keep the tractors running!
Welcome!!

Hi, I have a few maintenance issues to work on as well as replacing the starter. I am still in the process of buying replacement filters and such but I do have the new starter. I picked it up last week. I will post my progress/ questions in the Ford/New Holland forum. Thanks for asking!
