Hiding in Plain Sight

Bummer. I'd be disappointed just as you are.

I built my own puller to avoid buying something that wouldn't hold up. A puller is under tremendous stress. Mine has held up to a Bobcat T300 and my M9540 so far. Don't wanna jinx myself.

Welcome to TBN. We had a dusting of snow this morning north of Bethany.

OVRSZD; Couldn't agree more with your quote. Plasma cutter is gonna be busy tomorrow!

Yep. You seem to be handling it well mentally. Look at it as a fabricating challenge. :)

Will be picking up the material tomorrow. Unfortunately 4 sq. ft. of 1/2", 1 sq. ft. of 3/4" plate, and 114" of 4" sq. tube steel .250 wall thickness, is just North of $300.00 here in St Louis. Throw in 10 lb. of 6010 and the same or more of 7018, couple hours on the plasma torch, some flap disks and a coat of paint and I'll be back in business. No idea how I ever had time to work for a living.
How's the weather up there?

Warm for this time of the year not really any snow on the ground....

arkydog: You are close; Shapiro: Nat Bridge between Union and Goodfellow. Sam and the boys are good guys, it is really an eclectic bunch there.
ovrszd: All the !#@$*&)(> in the world won't fix the thing. Do not be fooled, I am not at all happy about it and I am still beating the drum on their end.
Peter 315: No snow? Bummer.

I picked one up at a equipment auction for $400.
POS is built wrong for SSQA and the pivot arm broke off first time used.
I will repair and correct the bad fit, still not worth the cost.

Reminded me of the old "Dark Horse" chinese steel implements TSC tried to sell for a brief period of time .

Not at all surprised. "Lawn and Garden, not over 15 hp" would seem to be a more reasonable rating for this puller.
