One of the problems with my PT 2445 is the limited dump height. I just can get to the edge of the cement mixer with the 4 in 1 bucket.

I began to research (started with TBN search) for an alternative and discovered "High dump bucket' attachments for skid steers. Essentially it is a bucket with the pivot at the front of the bucket. It allows an additional height for loading trucks.
Anyone have any experience with this typ attachment? Since PT doesn't make one, I'm develoiping plans to fabricate one.
We'll see if plans turn into relaity.

This is an interesting idea.

A few downsides. I would think that due to the articulation, that you could not really put any ballast on the rear of the tractor without threatening the middle section.

I don't like the way PT attaches implements (I like the quick hitch). It always seems to me that because the connection is centered and not out at the edges of the arms that you put some serious torque on an arm if your load is imballanced. I wonder how a bucket extended out the front of this would work.

I have a real problem with my rollover (and i have seen other1850 people do as well). I wonder if you will need to beef the rollover up.

What about a whole new arm? I keep thinking that is what I am going to do when mine goes. Terry said that it was a bad idea because my tractor is not heavily reinforced in the cab area like a 1460.

Really look forward to how all of this progresses and hope I can steal your ideas when you are done.

this is a pic of the bucket on a skid steer.
You can see where the bucket pivots and how it allows for a higher / closer approach to a dump truck or other.
