I bought a used KIWI crimping tool in the original box. The box had a packet of crimp sleeve.
They are Steel.
Most of them these days are aluminum yes??
Are the steel ones better?

I like gripples!

I used aluminum initially and needed some more so I tried some steel crimps because they are cheaper and they rust quite a bit after about a year. The aluminum are better but more costly. I got mine at TSC.

I've never used anything but aluminum. But if you are in an area that can get some sea air, I would avoid steel as I can see the possibility of corrosion being a problem

I think they’re better, but you definitely need the nicopress tool to crimp them.

I’ve never had an aluminum crimp fail.
I have had hogs run through fence lines and break the wire but the crimps always hold.
