The high tensile wire I use is so stiff that once it's bent around a post or an insulator the crimp sleeves don't have much strain on them at all and 2 aluminum sleeves is more than sufficient. With splicing in the middle of a run, 3 sleeves and I've had no failures even with a herd of elk challenging the fence.For high tensile I would use steel over aluminum.
