Is any familar with the Hinomoto N209? I am debating importing an N209 that looks like it is in really good condition. Are there any similar US models? Are the parts similar to the E2004/E2304, especially for the engine and drivetrain?

I have had an N189 and an N239. Both were extremely nice.
They have shuttle shift, power steering and push button 4 wheel drive. They aren't anything like the 4 digit Hinomotos. I have a parts book for both of these models. I priced some parts just to see how hard they were to get. I got response on the parts. The electric 3 point is a little time consuming to figure out. Once you do it is pretty neat.

Can I order parts from you? I have an E2004 with parts book, so I will check for common parts before selling the E2004. Do you know of FEL makes that would fit somewhat easily on the E2004/E2304 or N209? I want to transfer my old E2004 FEL or preferably buy new for the N209.

I have put Koyker loaders on E2304's before. I used a Deutz Allis 5220 mounting kit. I have to modify the front bracket because the mounting holes we off a little. The rear mount was perfect. They may have a front mount now. Koyker is really good about building kits for the greys.

From pictures I have seen the Massey 1030 looked to be very close to the E2002 or E2304. Are they not as close as the pictures look?

I have the E2304/E2004 parts manual, and the parts are identical to the MF1030 parts for the front axle. I do not have the rest of the MF1030 parts manual to compare, but I believe they are mostly the same.

Does the Koyker FEL for the 5220 mount at the front bumper and rear axle like my E2004, or does it also mount in the center of the tractor?

Can you tell us more about the "shuttle shift"? Is this similar to the Yanmar "power shift"? Or is it more like the "sync-reverser".

The shuttle shift on my Iseki TA 262 and TA270 require the use of the clutch to operate. It isn't totally syncro. You need to come to a complete stop before shifting. It is nice, but not as flexible as the Yanmar " Power Shift". The shuttle on the N series uses the clutch also, but it can be shifted while moving.

I am confused...

What is the advantage of the N209 Shuttle Shift as compared to the E2304 synchronized transmission if you still have to use the clutch?

You have as many gears in reverse as you do forward. The gear you use for forward and the one you use for reverse are the same ratio. Not slow forward and fast in reverse as in some tractors. It is in a handy location. Like I said " it ain't a power shift." It is just something different to play with. I use the clutch on my power shift tractors. I can control them better. It gets pretty jerky slammin gears at 2500rpm. Even though you can.
