History of my Mahindra 1126

June 14, 2024 (Friday), dealer (60 miles away) delivered the Mahindra 1126. It had 6.6 hours on it. I am still waiting on the Mid Mount Mower. I bought from here cause this was the first one to come available in a 100 mile circle of me.

June 18, 2024 (Tuesday @ 2:30pm), dealer picked up my 1126 to make repairs. It had 8.? hours on it. I sent this list;
1 - PTO noise
2 - hydraulic fluid leak
3 - grapple hydraulic connection
4 - park brake
5 - diff lock
6 - right side of loader hits first
7 - what is the thing on the rear

July 15, 2024 (Monday), 1126 was returned. It had the mid mount mower mounted. It had 10.8 hours on it. The mower sounds terrible when it is engaged. I will call in the morning. I am waiting on a factory lug bolt to be installed on the left rear wheel.

July 16, 2024 (Tuesday), I called about mower noise. Service dept. told me it was normal. {"BULL !!"}

Tuesday, December 3, 2024, The local Mahindra dealer (10 miles away) picked up my Mahindra 1126 tractor with M1160 Mid Mount Mower to do the fifty hour service. I had several other complaints about the tractor & mower. I had previously talked to the dealer where I bought the tractor and they told me that everything I mentioned was normal. The local dealer said they would come get the tractor and do the service and check out the complaints I had.
Things to check :
1) gear sound when mower is running
2) is deck adjusted properly
3) will deck raise higher
4) flop in bucket
5) mower shuts off when loader is actuated
6) tractor continues to move when light shows to be in neutral and foot is off pedal
7) differential lock seems to be on all of the time
8) hydraulic seeping at third function valve {hand written on their copy}

When the local dealer started trying to get parts to do the warranty work on the mower the dealer was told, by Mahindra USA, that the mower was not registered with them. The local dealer talked to the dealer where I bought it. This dealer said that they had been trying to get it registered since mid July, 2024. The local dealer called the right person at Mahindra USA and got it registered. Something about the serial number was not correct. At any rate, it s now registered and we are waiting on parts.

In my opinion, none of this is acceptable. None of this is the local dealer's fault. The local dealer is keeping me informed weekly on how things are NOT going.

January 4, 2025 I paid for the fifty hour service. The tractor is still at the dealership waiting on parts for the tractor as well as the mower. Mahindra USA has no idea when the parts will be available.

February 13, 2025, the tractor and mower were delivered.

BTW... I did not buy from the local dealer because he has never had an 1126 on his lot.

Saturday, March 9, 2025, I noticed the exhaust pipe flopping while helping my Bride hook the 1126 to a new three point Rotary Cutter. I removed the engine compartment cover and found two bolts missing. We finished our task and parked the tractor.
Come the next Wednesday I was going to get new bolts and replace the missing ones. As I was looking it over to see if any other exhaust bolts were missing I discovered the pipe was breaking away from the muffler. I called the local dealer on Thursday, March 13. Dealer said he would come look at it. The pipe fell off as I was putting the tractor back in it's place Thursday evening. The hour meter showed 72.4 hours.

Dealer came out Friday, March 14. I had the tractor out front when he arrived.
He said he would order a new muffler system with all new bolts and gaskets. When he got back to the dealership. He said he would come get the tractor when the parts arrived.

Thursday morning, March 27, 2025, dealer called to say the exhaust had arrived. Thursday, afternoon, the tractor was picked up for repair. The tractor had 75.1 hours on the hour meter.

Friday, around noon, March 28, 2025, the tractor was returned, by dealer, with new exhaust installed. When unloading the tractor from the trailer the mid mount mowing deck was dragged off of the tractor. Dealer continued to remove the tractor from the trailer by backing over the mower deck. He then drug the deck off of the trailer, by hand. Between the two of us we finally got it installed, but it would not lock in place. We reloaded the tractor and dealer took it back to the dealership.

Hopefully it can be fixed. I am afraid I am in for some bad news.

Friday, April 4, 2025 the local dealer said he is bringing the tractor back to me while we wait on parts for mower deck. Tractor was not delivered due to storms and flooding in our area Fri., Sat., & Sun. in our area.

Monday April 7, 2025 tractor was returned without mower deck (75.8 hours).

To be continued at a later date.

That is terrible. Sounds like your unit was very poorly assembled by the dealership. Missing bolts, poorly adjusted, hydraulic leaks, etc. Not cool.

But I also have to say, reading through your list of issues, there is a lot of nit-picking :

Noises you're not familiar with, some flop in the bucket, adjustments to mower deck height, etc.

Tractors are not luxury cars, they are often pretty rough around the edges. And the more personal responsibility you take on for adjustment and care of the machine, the better. Especially when your dealer is so clearly incompetent. Not excusing their errors, but seems like every time they touch it something else goes wrong.

Friday April 11, AM, 2025 the local dealer returned the deck. They had a hard time installing it. The mechanic got a pry bar and a 4 lb hammer and laid down and went to work. He finally got it installed. ?? He blamed it on the driveway not being level.
Later that day I decided to try out the mower. I went about 20 ft and the PTO disengaged. I ended up removing the deck and reinstalling it. It worked fine after that. Till...
The discharge side bumped over a root and when I backed up to get off of it the deck disengaged on the right side. I did not try to put it back on. The dealer is supposed to come get it on Tuesday April 15.
Apparently as long as the tractor is moving forward the deck will stay in place. When it comes off is when the tractor is moving in reverse and hits high center of some sort.

The bad part is that I really do like the tractor other than the mower deck problems.

To be continued again.
