I actually would love to see the results of a test on his 2K oil.

I have ruptured enough hoses along the way to make me think I don't have at least one quazi change in the 6 years I have owned my PT.

All I know is what I took out was less viscous than 10W40, a lot less. Might be red vs green, might be California heat, mowing, high stress slope use, bad driving, planetary alignment... Clearly "your mileage may vary", as I pulled my oil at 600 hours.

2000 is nothing for any of my equipment,we don't usually replace equipment until it's obsolete and we can't get major parts for it...you should replace your hydraulic oil and filter,why risk it ,14 years you've got your money's worth lol..you clearly have a high quality machine,and Subaru engines typically are excellent.
