I agree.
Buy a pruning blade for your Sawzall/reciprocating saw. That combination is great for cutting tree roots that get in the way when you're digging trenches or holes in an area with lots of roots...

I got rid of the roots yesterday.
I sawed them off with my Sawzall used a 12'' blade for the 2 bigger roots and a 6''blade on the smaller roots.
Thanks for the tip on the pruner blades
I might remove the tree later.
Never should have let it grow there in the first place.
