Hit stump now one blade is not turning

I have a Land Pride RCR2596 rotary cutter and I hit a tree stump while mowing today. Now one set of blades is not spinning.

What is the most likely culprit? Did I break the slip clutch on that side?

it probably has bent the blade to the point where it hitting the housing and won't turn. or you may have busted the spindle. or the splines on the shaft could have striped. have you tried turning the bldes buy hand to see if they are free?

It must have been one heck of a stump! That is a pretty heavy duty mower. Is it possible that when the blade hit the stump, it swung back so far that it got sort of "wedged" at the pivot point, and it is just stuck? I've had that happen to me before. You would notice one heck of a vibration when trying to spin the blades up.

Look at the part and operator manual available online, I don't think you have slip clutches to each side only couplers with the only slip clutch on your PTO. When out Woods 121 did that, it was a broken gear box; sure hope I am wrong.

Had you adjusted your slip clutch this year? If the slip clutch doesn't give, something else will.
