Thanks for breaking it down for me. I'm going to check out the 'Bota's rear end tomorrow morning and see how it all will play out with the front of the spreader. That first ebay item is a tad costly. The red thing seems to be essential in keeping the bar from rotating.

What I do is lock the MMM in the top position. Then the draw bar can be at what ever height you want. The ends of the bar go through the balls on each side of the hitch. A pin holds the draw bar to the hitch. The draw bar will rotate. It is not a problem with my spray because the connection on the sprayer is a "C" with a pin in the center. I connect the sprayer to the draw bar, add the pin and away I go. If you need a picture let me know.

In Kevin picture above the red bar is the draw bar and the orange part prevents the draw bar from turning. Not sure where you can get that part, you do see them on e-bay.

Is that a metal plate under the hitch bar? I like your solution. It looks practical and inexpensive.

If you use anything like a trailer attached to your 3-point it can dump as the 3-point moves upward unexpectedly.

Our solution was to weld a receiver tube on a short draw-bar. We can then add any length hitch or draw-bar extension made from common 2 X 2 X 1/4 square tube. We can keep our 3-point weight rack in place and still be pulling our trailer without worry that it will be dumping on its own.

When finished we pull the tube out of the receiver so there is nothing to bump your shin on when walking around the back of the tractor.

I made the orange part from scraps in the shop. The bar also holds a lead weight.

Here's my solution. Draw bar was $15 at Fleet Farm, Upper was scrap from garbage at work. 15 min with the welder, and here you go. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just remember one thing. When you lengthen your drawbar you must reduce the load accordingly. Look in your manual for the maximum load at the drawbar end and load your spreader cautiously. From my observance, most Kubota's mount their drawbar bracket to the bottom of the transmission casting. Breaking that bracket off could be VERY expensive. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You are looking at the bolt heads which are welded to the extension for ease of mounting or removing. Two original bolts have to be removed and replaced with longer bolts. (these are the two near the transmission).
