Here is the helper I put together today to install a receiver hitch on a car. It sure was easier than holding one end up with a foot while trying to find bolt holes on the other end.

I should have had one of those when I dropped that receiver hitch on my head.:mur:

We do the same basic thing except instead of a bolt I had my buddy turn down a hitch ball on a lathe to fit the hole on my jack.

Good idea. I replaced the receiver on my Chevy about a month ago and that would have been easier than balancing one side on the jack and lifting the other side into position. I bet I looked funny pumping the jack with my foot as I was laying on my back under the truck.
