I had one tell me that I should run a 6 ft plow on my Kubota MX5100, and that 7 foot would be "pushing the limit". He didn't say much when I told him I run a 6ft plow on my Gator XUV (UTV).

A good rule of thumb is 18" wider than your tractor for width of blade to still cover your tracks when angled. Weight of plow should be determined by size of tractor.
