hmm ebay scan?

I was looking at this item. One day I placed it in my cart and it was like under 40 dollars. Maybe 39.99

I think this has happened before on me with other items.Is it that the seller is really expecting to get this price? Its just so so far off from the value.

I think sellers do that when they are back-ordered or just out of stock. That way they don't have to pull the ad and put it back up later. I've had a set of XRF Ball-joints in my watch list for about a year. Right now they're $239.11, every once and a while they show a price of just over $1,200. They always go back within a week or two. I'm guessing they're just out of stock and don't want someone buying them.

Yes I did just that. its been about three days now and no respo nce. but I will give it another day and then assume because of no reply that its a scam.
send all the copy to ebay and see if they car or not.

They could be both using the same stock photo. Maybe one is a quality USA one made from forged steel and the other is some chinese knock-off? I could see the difference in price there in that case.

I have resent the letter to him and explained that to me not responding is a sure sign of a a scam and reported the listing to e bay. now more waiting.lol

It may just be a typo on the buy it now, since there are 2 listed for bids at $25.94.

Good point..thats what I was looking for info on it about. but to not return any messages is in itself time for bad feedback.Ive sent questions and messages to several other sellers and they promptly returned the messages. I looked through the sellers list of otems and see several all priced @399.99...and most are valued at around 50 to 100 dollars.So I suspect that it is like what the other poster here on TBN said and they seller is kjust 'holding' their spot for some reason which could be bnecause they have no inventory or any other reasons. But as I said to not return any type of message is suspect.
I don't really expect any response from E-Bay either.But im not jumping to that determination quite yet I will give them many days before I pass judgement on them.

He might be on vacation or something..

Most likely though, he is simply outta stock and raised the price super high. I have seen it before and been told the same from the seller. Give it time..

I guess that you probably have the right to ask any price you like for an ebay listed item. But if it was a product that I was truly considering I'd report the shenanigans to ebay just to see what their response was.
