The top (picture) track is a fox or coryote because it has a pointed toe. The Fox tracks will be in a pretty much straight line when walking
If you look closely at the bottom picture there is no way that these tracks are made from the same animal. Notice the two pads on the right track, no pointed toe. I would say that is probably a dog.
So it could have been a coyote following a small dog looking for a free lunch.

Unless you have a really small hand they are not fox tracks and probably not coyote -- I would vote for canine of the household variety. No machete probably required unless it turns out to be one of the characters from True Blood

By looking at it closely, and analyzing the facts, and due to the presence of those green things, I'd have to guess an electrician brought his dog to the worksite. :laughing:

Another vote for dog. The overall shape is pretty round. Most coyotes and wolves would be more narrow and oblong. Fox would be much smaller.

In general I think dogs and handling machetes are both more dangerous than coyotes.
