Hobart RC-256 Op and Parts Manual?

Recently bought this MIG on Ebay.

Anybody out there have Manuals for this welder and a way to get a copy to me?

I'd really appreciate any help you can give.

At age 48 this is my first MIG and there is no doubt plenty I don't know.

Not sure about your power set up over there...But do you have 3 phase? That's an old unit. Parts may be hard to find. Miller will likely have a manual on file, but you'll have to call them directly in the US. Also bills' welder repair (google it) made a post on another site that they had parts and manuals for them. Now, I see its set up for gasless. It would be good to know that it isn't set up for gasless because its solenoid and relay is broken.

Yes we do have 3 phase.

And no I've been assured the gas works, the previous owner just didn't want the expense of gas bottle rental.

The previous owner is my nearest neighbour (1/2 mile away).

Usually anything I want from Ebay has to be freighted 100's of kilometres, so this seemed too good an opportunity to miss.

Bills Welder Repairs were bale to help but at a cost of US$15 per book.

Miller have emailed PDF books at no charge.

Now I just need to get my printer to behave: - I've saved the PDF's though.

Thermadyne bought the larger Hobart Equipment and Miller bought the smaller ones. Go to Thermadyne.com. Click on Thermal Arc and Tech. They will send you a free copy if it is still available. I recently got some real old 600 amp manuals.
