I have a 1530 that I have owned for about 20 years. It has been a great tractor. I put a clutch in it 15 years ago. Other than that the only expenditures have been diesel and oil. Two years ago I began looking to buy a new tractor. I considered a new Kubota and a John Deere. I purchased a 1989 JD2155 instead because it was exactly like the 1530 only 15 years and a lot of hours newer. I intended to sell the 1530 but after I had the 2155 at home I found good reasons to keep both. I really like these tractors. My BIL has a Ford 3930 and he seems to find a lot of reasons to borrow one of my tractors.
