Hoe Question????

I have a 480D Case Backhoe. My owners manual states that there are two different link mounting positions for the rear bucket. One is for truck loading and the other is for deep trenching. My bucket has three mounting positions, what is the third position for?

I've never seen a third hole on a case bucket for the 480 or 580's up to the K model. Do you have a digital camera you can take a picture of it with and show us?

I will try to post a photo, never did it before. I might add that all six holes have bushings and the paint is still on them--never used. The links will work in all three positions. I don't know a lot about backhoes and this is why I am asking. I have never noticed these other holes in other buckets either.--Thanks--

I'll try to attach a link to a picture of my 480F 3 holed rear bucket from another thread. Don't know what the 3rd hole is for specifically other than just another option in the tradeoffs between flexion, extension, and leaverage.

Thanks, jmc, for the information and photo, yours is just like mine. I like my 480 but the weather and small issues have kept me from using it very much. I have bought many tractors and other vehicles and my first job is to run it through my shop and fix everything I can. After this,in many cases, all I have to do is regular service.
