Holy mackerel, I got hit by a deer mowing my lawn!!

As Eddie said - that is the most amazing deer story I've heard. Glad you're OK.

I had one - two lane road at a stop light - me in the right lane - woods and ravine (w/ guardrail) to my right. Deer comes out of the ravine - clears the guard rail and my car and puts both rear hooves through the windshield of the SUV next to me. The poor woman - wasn't hurt - but think the tinkle factor came into play....

I had one knock me off of a 3 wheeler years ago.....got even with that sucker, real good with gravy and biscuits .

LOL I actually thought about taking a picture with my phone when I was laying on the ground wondering if the dopey deer stomped on my foot, but to be honest, I just wasn't thinking all that well at the time.

Thanks for the well wishes. Now I really have to wonder about those stories I have heard about guys bagging a deer by hand. Ha, that deer is probably off bragging to the other deer that he almost bagged a guy on a mower!

This would make a good 'Far Side' type cartoon titled "Games redneck deer play" sorta like humans tipping cow, but deer tipping humans..

Glad you OK.. It just goes to reinforce the statistics that most accidents happen around the home LOL But i doubt that getting hit by a deer is an established category for accidents..

Okay, if the grass wasn't 4' high I may have noticed this relatively obvious trail coming out of the woods. Being a great detective, I can see that the deer did leave at least some evidence of it's misdeeds.

I've hit a few deer while mowing weeds or hay. Most recent was 2 weeks ago. A Bush Hog 406 behind an 80 HP tractor doesn't even know it hit anything. Had a big buck stare me down 2 years ago. It walked right in front of the tractor and refused to move. I was maybe 20 feet away. He was letting me know just exactly who's field I was mowing.

Good to hear you're not too seriously injured. Coulda been a LOT worse.

Great one! If I were on my Deere, the deer wouldn't have KO'd me off the mower. My Deere is a 90 hp cab tractor. But, there again, with my luck the deer (no "e") would have likely have broken the glass out of my Deere cab.

Did I mention that I'm sore and my foot hurts? Yes, it could have been plenty worse. Heck, no big deal, I didn't even ruin a perfectly good pair of boxers! (but it was darn close!)
