Home alarms

I personally have very little experience with X10, but a friend who does alarms and home automation for hire stays with the DSC for alarms and everything else possible, and only uses X10 as a last resort due to reliability. I guess if it works in your house, it works great. If it doesn't, well, it doesn't.
