I have a Kubota B7610 with a front mounted snowblower. I got tired of getting covered with snow as the wind swirled around the trees. This motivated me to build my own cab.
It is built out of 1" square steel tubing and 1.5" angle iron. The roof is 16 gauge sheet metal. The windows are going to be 1/8" lexan.

I welded the 1" tubing together for the frame and attached the roof(1.5" angle iron with the sheet metal welded to it) to the frame with bolts.

The whole cab assembly is attached to the tractor with bolts for easier removal during the summer. I have a door attached to the left side of the tractor. Door is constructed from 1" tubing as well. I just used two normal door hinges to attach it.

I will indeed. I get home tonight and tomorrow I pick up the lexan so hopefully will have another update in a day or two.

What's all that white stuff on the ground behind you? I seem to remember once having something like that around here but it's been so long...

Very nice job. I made a cab several years ago for a Ford 1310 then retrofitted it to fit my B7510. Probably should have started over but after a while I got it to work. It had just a left door on the Ford but added a right door for the "bota because I always thought I wanted a door on that side and I am glad I did.the first cab was 3/4 tube and Aluminum skin with windows from the junk yard. The reinvention was same tube and windows but skinned it with dark Plexi glass. Mine is removable in five pieces and two doors.
Keep up the good work can't wait to see the finished product.

The last few days I have been working at putting the lexan windows on my new cab. I got some lights for free from my father, but they didn't work very good so I bought a couple cheap floodlights from princess auto. I'll test them out tonight.
I bought some rubber matting today and made a panel to attach to the back of my cab and under the toolbox too seal up under the seat.
I got a heater with a fan on it for free and have to figure out how to mount that.
I still have to paint my cab but that will have to wait until it gets much warmer out.

All that white stuff is what we in the colder climates call snow. It falls from the sky at the most inconvenient times(like when you need to be somewhere but have to plow the snow so you can get out of your driveway).:confused2:

Do you have pictures of your cab posted somewhere on here?

Here are my latest pictures. I still have to paint the cab but it works fine for now. I also have to install the heater when I can find the fittings I need.

It took about 60 hours of my time and cost me approximately $700.00 in materials. 220 for the steel, 400 for the lexan and about 80 for the fasteners, weather stripping and matting.

Very nice! I'm going to build one similar to yours when it warms up. Just the basic framework, plexi and probably a glass windshield. Nice to see how good it can look!!

I agree it looks like nice work.

There is one thing that you need that is missing. You will find that out the first time you use it - a windshield wiper. It is indespensible as you will soon see. Even on a calm day the snow blows up, hits the warm windshield, and melts. You have a choice. You can a distorted view of what is ahead of you, or you will be hopping out periodically to clean it off. It isn't too bad if you are plowing on a calm day, but with a blower it is essential.

Get the wiper. You can see my front one in the picture below. I also have a rear one that I seldom, if ever use.
