Spray some graphite or similar lube on your tube or it wont take long for it to rust together.

what tube? i put zerks on the adjuster nut and slide tube thing if that is what you are talking about. it might work well until i drop something on the threads

Your design looks to mimic a disc I once saw but I believe that it still used pins through the frame to hold the front and rear gangs in place. The screws were just there to move the gangs. I think I would look at putting pins in the holes that should be in the frame so the set can be matched front to rear. I think the holes lined up so there was a pin in front and one in back of the slide plates holding the gangs together.

I think maybe the poster was referring to the top and bottom of the center tube, where the gangs actually move fore and aft to adjust the gang angles. Adding grease to the threaded adjustment shaft and the grease fitting goes without saying.

thanks spo307. i put the holes in the center tube but they are now covered by the screw. i might drill or add in front of the slider to hold it in place. next step is to finish the three point brace. i am amazed the 2 pieces of 3/4x 1/4 flat bar with crappy quick tack welds has held so far

I like your work, but I think you are going to mess up the threads on your adjusting rod even if it holds up.

yah! that is a big concern for me. i think i'm gonna build a cover for it. box it in somehow. iv'e only disced the arena so, its already pretty soft so no real test there. haven't had any rain since i think march, so if we get rain in October ill be able to test it for real without all the dust.
