home made monster bbq

He brought the pipe and we went from there. It stands at deck height at his cabin. So you can grill right from the deck. For a few dogs just build a small bbq in the corner by the exhaust pipe. Works fine. He had a party there last summer and did 100+ brats/dogs at once and still had room for burgers. It makes a great smoker too. Burn your apple or mesquite in the far left corner and cook meat towards the chimney. It was a fun project and i owed him one for helping me move in January.

That would make a perfect bbq schoolsout. I made one out of a cylinder once, it worked just fine. Always a bit scary that first weld or cut though. I know its obvious but, burn that thing for a good long while before cooking on it.

A friend and I built one out of a 500gal fuel tank (old been in the field for years). We built it vertical and does a smoked brisket great. Don't have any pictures at this time will post when I get to work.

A pit I made from a 250 gallon Propane tank. It had already been purged and pierced when i got it.
