If your looking for a DIY system, check out ELK products M1 gold system. I am currently installing one on the house Im building. So far, I have about $800 into it which includes 2 key pads, 3 garage door sensors, 20 window and door sensors, and 2 motion sensors plus an internal speaker. It can also be used for lighting automation so that when you come home, and open the garage door, it will turn on your kitchen lights (if you have additional switches).
