Fixed the orientation of the lift rods today so that the yoke at the bottom of each faces slightly outwards. Lift arms sit straighter now. Thanks for catching that, guys.

Turnbuckle check chains arrived yesterday. I would have put those on too, but one of them was missing the shackle on the front end. I promptly emailed the vendor about that and asked them to send another one that was complete.

Now it looks like a tractor and you well not bind your lift link.

If you will be removing many small stumps a single shank subsoiler to plow beside them on all sides and even use the plow point to drive into the stump to lift as you slowly drive forward can do a right good job. kt

That sounds much better than digging with the shovel and chopping with the axe. I have a Nortrac middle buster plow. Their subsoiler (which they no longer sell) is pretty much identical except it has a subsoiler tooth instead of the plow on there. I actually have a chunk of steel set aside to make the subsoiler tooth from (the product page said it was 2" wide, 8-1/8" long, and 3/4" thick). This will be a good excuse to get that made. I also wonder if it would help to sharpen up the leading edge of the shank or make some sort of bolt-on knife edge that would take the place of the tooth and have a sharp edge that extends up the front edge of the shank (so that the implement functions more like a root cutter than a fighter jet tailhook). :D

Just an idea! Weld another receiver higher up and use for gooseneck, make sphere adapters for both receivers and make it into round bale hauler!

I made one just like yours when I first got my tractor. They come in very handy.
