John:
Nice picture, i can take a few of the stumps I've been chain pulling out and send and or post them on my site so you can take a look see. none are that big, but most of them are 7 yr old cut downs from a prior log out of my woods. The 4" acros creen stump pulled out about 300 lbs of dirt and root ball with it and the hole that was left was bowl shapped and at least 4 feet across and 15+" deep!!! I was pulling it with a loader full of dirt and had the front end up and back tires setting into holes. I would back out of the hole, and clutch it letting it bounce back into the holes and jerk on the chain, each jerk loosened it more, took about 10 min including the dirt scoop and the chain hook up... probably about 4 or 5 good yanks before it started breaking the roots loose.
today I was driving her down in to that creek bed removing gravel wash. almost got the rear wheels up in the air ballanced on fornt wheels while coming out with a full load of wet gravel, clay & sand. that was with my 6' box blade on back! lol I had the box blade up too high coming backing out and the bucket was about 10 " up. lucky it went down on bucket and stayed there. I lowerd the box blade down to within about 2 " of creek side and it came back down. so I dumped about 1/2 of it there and made a 2nd run into it after dumping the bucket full.
