Here is a pic of a Nortrac with a big stump in its mouth! Yes, he used a hoe to dig it out first. Thanks Gene for the photos.

John:

Nice picture, i can take a few of the stumps I've been chain pulling out and send and or post them on my site so you can take a look see. none are that big, but most of them are 7 yr old cut downs from a prior log out of my woods. The 4" acros creen stump pulled out about 300 lbs of dirt and root ball with it and the hole that was left was bowl shapped and at least 4 feet across and 15+" deep!!! I was pulling it with a loader full of dirt and had the front end up and back tires setting into holes. I would back out of the hole, and clutch it letting it bounce back into the holes and jerk on the chain, each jerk loosened it more, took about 10 min including the dirt scoop and the chain hook up... probably about 4 or 5 good yanks before it started breaking the roots loose.

today I was driving her down in to that creek bed removing gravel wash. almost got the rear wheels up in the air ballanced on fornt wheels while coming out with a full load of wet gravel, clay & sand. that was with my 6' box blade on back! lol I had the box blade up too high coming backing out and the bucket was about 10 " up. lucky it went down on bucket and stayed there. I lowerd the box blade down to within about 2 " of creek side and it came back down. so I dumped about 1/2 of it there and made a 2nd run into it after dumping the bucket full.

I was over in Akron today for a funeral. I drove past the Rolling Acres Mall for the first time in years. They had a sign out front advertising their upcoming Homier sale. It will run from August 14-24. That's 11 days! I think every one of their sales I've ever seen ran from Thursday to Sunday, but I've never seen one go this long.

Hopefully that means with a sale this big, everything they advertise will be at this one???
All of the tractors/implements???

The homier sales in our area last the good part of 2 weeks.
I have been to weekend only sales but the slection was about the same. They restock mid week during the 2 week sales and you can sometimes ask them to bring out items they might not generally have at a show.

For those interested, they are in Benton Harbor MI this week (not sure of the dates). We got the flyer the other day but oddly enough you cannot see their event schedule on their web-site unless you register. We may bop up there this weekend to have a look /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you register on their web page, they automatically email you about any upcoming sales within 75 miles of your house a week before the sale starts.

Andy;

I live clser to Mansfield Oh, but have fished milton lake many times, caught a lot of nice bass on the dam end and mid lake... I just last night lost my GF's mom she passed in her sleep. so I'm sorry to hear about the funeral.

I may keep an eye on the site and try to get up to the mall for some homier sales stuff.

I'm building a dump trailer for farm now and need a few more items to go along with...

Here's a nifty thing I found on their web page, but have never seen at one of their sales--

Farm Pro Wagon

It would come in real handy when I'm trimming tree limbs up by the road and taking them back to the burn pile 500 feet back. I'll have to run this one by the CFO!

I saw there tiller at a tent sale and thought if I spent a little more somewhere else I'd get a lot more.I found that most of what they were selling was on the junky side, the tractors are fine but should be thoroughly checked over upon delivery for loose or missing parts.As someone in this thread has said in the past,It is pointless to ask Homier sales people any tech questions,I'm not sure if they are unqualified or dumber than a bag of hammers.Either way you should research before you buy Homier Equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
