Honda UTV coming next summer

It's about time Honda got with the rest of the leaders in the side by side market. Very late in their arrival and still not expected for another year. The tires look way small but plenty of wheel well clearance for after-market taller tires.
I'm a little disappointed with their late entry- tires look way too small in proportion, and whats with the bulbous hood? I would presume the engine is mid like the Rhino... Yamaha has now started supplying free doors after being sued many times for leg injuries...Honda needs to take that proactively and include doors so they don't feed the lawyers too.
I used to be a die hard Honda fan but dang they seem to be slipping, bought a Yamaha Rhino because Honda had nothing, bought a Suzuki street/adventure bike, DL1000 V-Strom, because Honda doesn't sell one in the US....

Wow, surprisingly weak for Honda. It looks like it might have been an interesting battle if put up against the old Polaris Ranger, but now that the Polaris Razor is out, people probably won't look at Rangers twice. Looks like Honda jumped in about five years too late with that outdated-looking thing. The real question is: What will Yamaha produce now, to leapfrog the Razor?

I have been a Honda fan for years, having raced a cr250 and a crf450 motocross bike for 10 years. I also have a Foreman ATV. When I heard they were coming out with a utv I almost second guessed my decision to buy a RTV1100 now rather than wait and see what Honda would come out with. Once again I am glad I got the RTV. This offering from Honda looks real weak judging by the pictures. Gotta say I am surprised. I really expected Honda, of all companies, to come out with something to raise the level of competition. It does look like a first generation Polaris, but with smaller tires.

I was one of the first folks down here in the south to purchase a Honda three-wheeler many, many years ago. Since then, I have purchased about every Honda wheeler that they have introduced. I have been big on Honda for a many year. BUT, when I seen this Honda Utitity Vehicle. I was so disappointed. Looks cheap, looks like a joke !!! Don't look like anything Honda. Never thought they would introduce something of that caliber .
I am so glad now, that I went ahead back in Febuary 2007, and purchased a Kuboata RTV 900.
And as far as I am concerned, Kubota RTV fits all my applications on what I want in a utility vehicle. So much, I plan on next year purchasing a Kubota RTV 1100 for my wife, and keeping the 900 for myself.
For the sake of Honda's reputation, I hope they come up with a different idea. By the looks of things, I wouldn't ever purchase a Honda utility vehicle, didn't think they would come out with something like this, wish they would have just stayed out of the race. Let me state this, I will purchase another Rubicon and / or Rincon in the future. But as far as Utiltiy Vehicles, I am sticking with Kubota .
And I think Honda needs to stick with the great production of the wheelers, and leave the utility vehicles to other companies ......

It is kind of an insult to the original Honda "Big Red" by naming this machine the same. The Big Red was the king of 3 wheelers in it's day. I really expected them to have used that name on something like the Foreman or the Rincon by now. Honda will recycle a name. Look at the Odyssey and Pilot.

Yes, the original " BIG RED " was a hoss !!! We worked the devil out of them around the farms & hunting back then >>>> And never, never had one let us down >>> Like the old Timex saying, " TAKES A LICKIN' , KEEPS ON TICKIN' "
Honda should have called it something else, calling it that is kinda a insult !
They must be expecting the name to sell it. From what I see, they need to go ahead and delete it before they ruin their reputation on great machines.
This is a embarrisment to folks. I still cannot get over how dingy & cheap it looks.
