Honey I\'m Home...

Ok kids...I have arrived back in the sunshine state after a 13 day trip to the BEAUTIFUL mountains of Northeastern Tennessee. In the process I retrieved my brandy new set up. I used it and abused it and will, over the next day or so, post pics of the DK45S and all it's toys. Having only gotten home an hour or so ago, I have many other things to do first.

Thanks again to all the folks here as they were instrumental in my decision.

Re: Honey I\'m Home...

Hope you dont make all my dumb mistakes, driving with park brake on, pulling into storage container with ROPS up, nicking fender paint when ROPS pin fell out as I was looking for the spring I dropped earlier (long story). Great new rig! Congrats!! Lets see some action shots!

Re: Honey I\'m Home...

Well...here goes.
Here we are having just finished the trip from the other side of the hill (N.C.)
This is a shot of most of the bush hogging. There is another 5 or so acres to the left that you cant see in the shot. Man is this a step up from the 8n.
Even the dog likes the new toy.
What a ham.

The dealership I bought from is a long time, family owned operation. Real nice folks. The son, who pretty much runs things now, even stopped by on his way home from a little anniversary getaway weekend with his Mrs. just to see how things were going. Thought that was awefully nice of him.

Well, back to the grind. I think I'll get a chance to go back up in about a month though. Can't wait.

A couple of Questions - What dealership in NC? and who's toothbar did you get?

Looks Great!

Re: Honey I\'m Home...

That's a really neat looking place you have there. I haven't seen too many locations over that way that look that nice. I usually don't get to see much other than the main city and the interstate though as I go through!
Isn't it amazing how dogs are just drawn to the tractors? I can't keep most of the neighborhood dogs out of the way when I'm working mine.
Beautiful tractor, and yes, quite step up from an 8N and many others.
Thanks for the pics.
John

Re: Honey I\'m Home...

Guess I should have said more about the dealer but he still owes me a handle for one of my rear remotes and a tilt meter..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Back order I guess. They are actually really great people....Youngs Tractor in Burnsville. 828-675-4365. Be sure to tell Bobby I sent ya there. I promised him I'd tell folks about him.

As far as the tooth bar is concerned, I think it may be a local or off brand. There is no info in my paperwork and I didn't feel the need to ask.

Re: Honey I\'m Home...

Thanks John. The wife and I just love it up there and are sorry we can't get more time than we do. Plan is after the youngest is out of school (Just a few years..fingers crossed) I'll put a new Victorian up on the hill. The property line goes all the way to the uppermost ridge. I'll clear about a half acre and thin outward about another half for a building site roughly 2/3 of the way up. Right now from the level where the light pole is, just before you get into the timber, you can see almost nothing but Cherokee National Forest in both directions. In the winter when the leaves are off the trees you can, with binoculars, watch people hike the Appalachian trail which runs the ridge of the mountain across the street from the house. I'm hoping I might be able to procure a few more acres on either side of me. I'd like to work the land a little more.

AAAHHH the "Plan"........ /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
