Hood guard with 300X and MMM???

My 3320 showed up today. It was missing the hood guard. Dealer said something about it because of the MMM mounting brackets???! Can you have the hood guard for the 300X and the MMM??

Yes,the hood guard has the brackets incorporated into it's side mounts. Just dropped one on a 4110 w/300x loader. Works well(sorry no pics) Nice looking however. Just need to have him order the correct one,two are listed for that loader,be certain he gets the one your tractor needs.

Well I found out that the hood guard does work with the MMM and loader and in the 3020 series video (John Deer DVD) it shows exactly that.

I sent a note to my dealer and this afternoon he brought it over and left it at my house. I took it out to the tractor to install it and where the hood guard mounts is a new set of brackets for the MMM. So what it looks like is that the dealer got in a hurry and installed the MMM brackets and MMM and then realised he had to disassemble the brackets to put on the guard. His solution was to just deliver my tractor without the guard (I was impatient). Well I noticed and now tomorrow evening I will do the install myself. I guess it will giv me some practice disassembling the MMM - no harm in learning about my new toy I mean tractor.

I also found out that sticks from a brush pile can easily find their way through the 'guard' and punch a hole in the mesh screen. Some members have shown some clever additions to their hood guards that give better protection to this screen and the internals just behind the screen i.e. battery, oil cooler, and radiator. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The stick that punched mine out didn't go too far, fortunately.
