I might not should, but I'll step in here. What I think Daryl is meaning is that a lot of times at least on tractors and farm equipment, a new paint job will mean that the item for sale has been used up or maybe abused and the person that owns it has tried to pretty it up. I am sure we all would like a new paint job, but in this type of equipment, I personally wouldn't want new paint before I bought it, so I could make a better determination of the previous life it had.
BTW, I like your paint job, looks good. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yep.... yer in for it now ! I got lambasted for just buffing my tractor !

Personally, i like your flame job.... your tractor will be doing 70mph sitting still.

Glad to see i'm not the only crazy one ! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I love the paint job! First and foremost, customize the tractor
to your needs and wants. Worry about resale a distant LAST.
As for "customization", that is usually our word for the first
dent we put on our new tractors. Most of us don't even
fix them. Mine is still shiney and dent-free, but I have
never waxed it......

I don't know about the resale value thing. Make me a good enough deal when you get ready to sell it, and you could smear it with dog doo for all I care.

My only question is that you said a log fell on it. I didn't see the engine sticking through the hood anywhere, so it must have been just a branch, not a log. Maybe it took a whole gallon of Bondo to get such a good job.

I like the flames, now how about more "nose art" like a purty nekkid lady? Perhaps on the FEL?

Just Gary

Log was about 10in diameter by 4ft. It fell right in front of the hood latch and luckley there is a brace there. No didn't a gallon of bondo. After pounding it out it took maybe a 4th of a quart.
